Autocad Graphics Driver

AutoCAD Performance Driver - NVIDIA Powerdraft performance driver for Autodesk's AutoCAD software. This standalone driver is only compatible with AutoCAD and "not" compatible with any AutoCAD derivatives products such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, MEP, and Revit.

To get support for AutoCAD derivative software please use the Quadro Graphics driver. This driver has integrated AutoCAD and 3ds Max Performance Drivers in the graphics driver with auto-detection, providing increased performance. It includes support for three latest versions of AutoCAD, 3ds Max, and their derivatives.

HSMWorks runs on any system capable of running SolidWorks. A complete list of hardware and graphics drivers certified by SolidWorks is available at In addition we test and certify HSMWorks on HP Workstations and professional graphics cards from AMD and NVIDIA. Inventor graphics certification is available in our Knowledge Network.

As most AutoCAD users are aware, one of the best Autodesk software practices you can do is to incorporate an Autodesk Certified Graphics Card into your hardware. If you are using one of these graphics cards or choose to purchase one, you will also need to download the Certified Graphics Driver.

For the most part, installing the appropriate driver for the graphics card is easy. Simply select the product and year and find the card that you purchased. In the image below the last two columns on the right show the details of the driver. The name and version of the driver file can be found in the second to last column. The driver file can be downloaded and installed from the last column.

An issue arises here if you are using Windows 10 as well as an NVIDIA graphics card from this list. If you were to download the driver for your graphics card and start the installation, you simply will not be able to. This is because the driver installation process is no longer compatible with Windows 10. Because of this, you will have to track down the proper installation files for the driver needed.

5. The View Tune Log will show you if you hardware is certified, it will also show you your current application driver, an example is shown below. If your current driver says anything other than Software or AcadDM10.hdi, i.e., nvgl10.hdi, please see these links (Link1 & Link2) and switch your driver back to the Autodesk Driver.

6. If your system shows you do not have the latest certified graphics card driver, you need to go to the certification site to download the latest version. To download the latest version click the little blue arrow next to the corresponding driver for you hardware and operating system.

By keeping your system up to date with the latest driver you will avoid losing both productivity and potentially unsaved work. If you have any questions see the FAQ site and if you have any issue not on the FAQ please feel free to send us a message at the feedback link.

Even the latest Diver (11.9703)from Autodesks Support site does not fix all the problems found with the Nvidia professional graphics cards. and the Nvidia proformance divers still can't be used since they cause other problems. And why is that Nvidias web site is always 4 driver versions ahead of Autodesks web site but of those drivers none have been Autodesk certifide?

I am not sure I know what problems your are talking about here when you say "Even the latest Diver (11.9703)from Autodesks Support site does not fix all the problems found with the Nvidia professional graphics cards". Currently there are no known issues with this version of the driver, on the Autodesk side.

Nvidia releases new drivers about every two months. To protect our customers we do not always move to the newest driver. We only move when there is a driver we know is fully working and does not cause any regressions. This is an example of why we are not on the latest version =123112&id=15178992&linkID=9240617

The first point of contention in our little investigation: are professional GPUs running superior hardware? The answer to that is mostly no. Modern pro-level graphics cards share the exact same core hardware as their consumer counterparts and as far as the silicon is concerned, have equal graphics compute potential. We touched on this particularly irritating fact when making graphics card recommendations for our kick-ass CAD workstation.

With a DirectX rendering pipeline, consumer level graphics are more than enough for all but the most complex CAD applications. Expect more CAD platforms to follow in the future. Not to mention that for any browser-based CAD platform, the whole question is moot.

So will the very foundations of the professional graphics card market come crumbling down? Here comes the part that may make you happy then make you sad. Like when Scully and Mulder stare at each other for entirely too long.

CAD models just aren't complex enough to justify professional graphics anymore. Respectable 3D capability is becoming a commodity, as even common handheld devices start pushing enough pixels to handle the average design.

That may sound like an insult, or worse, grounds for a fight. While some of the most complex CAD assemblies still justify the current market segmentation, the average model is no comparison to mind-boggling developments in other corners of the professional graphics market. CAD is competing with the people who are busy rendering procedural fire or are cranking out the next Star Wars. CAD is overshadowed by James Cameron raising the bar on giant cat people, or Pixar generating photorealistic landscapes for The Good Dinosaur.

Every computer needs a dedicated graphics card to meet its requirements. Without the graphics card, your PC would not be able to give the display output and you would not be able to see anything on your display screen.

PNY NVIDIA Quadro P2000 consists of the VCQ P2000 PB series, which is manufactured by the NVIDIA company. This graphics card comes with a 5 GB GDDR5 memory, which is enough to work with AutoCAD. The bandwidth is also around 140GBper second, which helps you to deliver the pictures quickly.

An Asus Graphic Card with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics coprocessor was primarily developed for gaming laptops but is now extensively used for AutoCAD programs. It has a 8GB memory that works well with its 320.3G per second bandwidth, which really helps with the input and output transfer thus leading to smooth processing.

PNY GeForce GTX 1660 Super 6 GB graphics card is faster than the original GTX 1660 and also one and a half times faster than its previous version. It is powered by the NVIDIA architecture and ultra-fast GDDR6 memory. The GDDR6 memory helps it run much faster and performs better than the original GTX 16 series.

It is a product of the PNY brand coupled with the super series NVIDIA GeForce GTX1660 which makes it a faster and more efficient graphics card while providing greater quality at an affordable rate. The bandwidth makes the best video developing quality and the resolution makes it suitable for the fine work of AutoCAD designing and graphics. It has a single-fan cooling system that will help with power consumption efficiency.

This graphics card has 4 GBs of onboard memory, one dual-link DVI port, one display connector, and a six-pin power supply connector. Two fans in it can be used for cooling purposes and run in opposite directions for better airflow.

The AMD Radeon Pro WX 7100 runs with the minimum clock speed. It features acceleration options and can run up to 1243 MHz. The manufacturer has equipped this particular graphics card with 8 GBs of memory and excellent bandwidth. The power consumption is also a lot less than others and stands at 130 watts.

Radeon Pro WX has evolved from AMD FirePro. It has all the benefits of the evolvement of the FirePro driver and includes the optimization for a massive range of CAD tools. There are minor differences one is that AMD is keen to point out the superior build quality of this GPU, which includes the more robust heat sinks for a better connection to the PCI slot.

The NVidia GeForce RTX 3090 rules the technical world, although AMD tries to topple it. This particular graphics card has GDDR6X RAM, which acts as an absolute powerbox to it. It delivers when it comes to 3D rendering. This card has replaced two previous generations with its high performance.

The NVidia GeForce RTX 3090 gives an amazing 4K performance and even handles games. The previous graphics card had set a high standard and this one also meets the challenge. It handles PC games very well, but it delivers very attractive images with graphical enhancements of 3D animation and video rendering.

The NVidia GeForce RTX 3090 also comes at a premium price, making the more affordable graphics card, the RTX 3080, its direct rival. If you are not bothered by the price and want the best for your project-related work, that requires very good hardware acceleration.

The ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 2080 Ti comes with 4532 CUDA cores that deliver unmatched images. The main selling point for this graphics card is real-time ray tracing. The difference is the accuracy and the efficiency in which this card executes the technology. It doubles the graphics processing power. The memory bandwidth stands at 616Gbps, enabling it to fast transfer the data from the RAM to the GPU. 041b061a72
